Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment

This Assessor Award will become the minimum requirement for Trainers who hold the 6 credit PTLLS Level 3 and Level 4 or equivalent qualification who would like to continue to deliver First Aid at work qualifications from October 2015.

100% theory based this can be completed online through our Virtual Learning Environment or it can be added to our First Aid at Work Instructor Course or Level 3 Award in Education and Training (QF) Combined First Aid at Work Instructor Course for just £195.00 + VAT. 

Learners choosing to complete the full Award in Assessing or CAVA will be able to put this Unit towards their course in the future and we offer generous discounts to individuals who complete this unit on their First Aid at Work related trainer courses and then continue to achieve the full Award.

This course is eligible for funding under the Enhanced Learning Credits Scheme, for ex-military personnel please call us for more information.

Candidates will only need to complete Unit 1 to achieve the minimum assessor qualification.

The full Award In Assessing requires completion of Module 1 and 3 or 1 and 2 and the Certificate in Assessing which requires completion of Modules 1, 2 & 3.

  • Candidates completing this module must have 2 suitable learners undertaking a vocationally related course.
